Renaissance Petroleum wants to expand drilling in the Cabrillo Oil Field in Oxnard within 1,600 feet of residents' homes and within 2 miles of 8 schools!
Four new oil wells and an oil production facility are being proposed on top of 20+ wells already approved for the area. This will increase air pollution and truck traffic in a community already overburdened by heavy pesticide use and fossil fuel pollution.
Food & Water Watch has teamed up with Climate First Replacing Oil and Gas (CFROG) to file an appeal against this dirty oil and gas expansion project in the Cabrillo Oil Field.
The Ventura County Board of Supervisors will be voting on this oil drilling proposal on Tuesday, July 23 at 1:30 p.m.
Send a message today to the Ventura County Board of Supervisors urging them to reject Renaissance Petroleum's proposal!
